Powerpoint is automatically opening in slideshow and does not give me the option to exit out ofit.

What you have is a PPt *Show* and - be honest - you haven't tried anything
but double-clicking the icon:)

Launch PPT & use File> Open to open the file as opposed to running the show.

I am a new Mac user and am trying to open an existing PC powerpoint presentation on Microsoft Office Mac. As soon as I open the presentation, it automatically opens in slide show view and does not give my any options to exit out of it. I can't look at it in any other view and therefore, cannot work or edit the presentation. No matter what I try, it will NOT exit out of slide show view. I'm working from home today and really need to work on this. Can anyone help??? Thanks!!!
