PowerPoint: jump to the next/prev slide (not to the next/prevanimation event)

In powerpoint when you press either right arrow / down arrow / next
page / enter / space or click mouse button you always jump to the next
event in the animation. If there is no more events the current slide's
animation then you jump to the next slide.

I find really annoying (and lack of common sense) that there is no way
to jump to the prev/next slide skiping the animation events.
Some times I want to quickly go two slides back, but the previous
slide have about 20 animation events so I have to press left arrow 20
times just to go 2 slides back and 20 more times to return to the
slide I initially was.

Is there any hidden key combination to jump always (independently of
animation events) to the next or previous slide??

Thanks.

You can type the slide number on the keyboard and press Enter. If you print
Handouts (6 per page) you can easily reference the slide number while
presenting. MUCH better than fumbling with the mouse if you're presenting
to an audience. If you want to easily find other keyboard commands, while in
Slide Show View press F1.
