PowerPoint kiosk mode password

Hello Power Users,

Is it possible to create a macro or VBA script so that
when PowerPoint runs in kiosk mode a user cannot exit the
show by pressing Escape or using Alt-F4 or Ctrl-Alt-Del
key combination? Is it possible to password protect your
kiosk so that unauthorized users won't be allow to
exit/terminate/edit your PowerPoint presentation?

Anticipated thanks,
Airplane

The easiest and most effective method is to hide the keyboard, if you mean
for a presentation running at a trade show, for example. Leave the mouse
there, but put the keyboard out of reach. If that isn't the scenario then
let us know.

I'm hardly a guru, but an event trap could be placed on the 'end show' event
that would restart the show. Not the same as disabliling, but perhaps
workable. Alternately, you could, with the current prices of keyboards,
manually disable a keyboard's escape key (tape over the key's internal
contact pad works well) and use your customized keyboard for your trade show
display.

I do not know what software is out there, but there are some keyboard
mapping programs available that would allow you to remap your escape key to
something harmless. I do not know how this would work with PowerPoint,
since it may over-ride the remapping software while in show mode.

Just some thoughts,
B
