We are preparing ourselves for an absolutely fantastic second season for the
PowerPoint Live User Conference, October 10-13 in San Diego. Registration
numbers are up sharply from last year, and it appears as if we will sell all
of our 250 seats this year. Early pricing ends this weekend, and we want to
make sure the user community is aware of that. A few reasons to join us in
October...
1. EXCELLENT SEMINAR CONTENT: Check out the schedule page at
http://www.pptlive.com and we think you will find an incredibly well-rounded
lineup of content. That page includes outlines for almost all of the
sessions, so you can get considerable detail on our offerings.
2. THE FAMOUS HELP CENTER: The conference's hands-on component has been
hailed as the finest technical resource that any PowerPoint user could find.
It never surprises us when a half-dozen patrons tell us on Sunday that the
hour that they just spent in the Help Center (before the conference
officially begins) just made the entire trip worthwhile.
Together, these two add up to a virtually guaranteed spike in your knowledge
of the program, your productivity with presentation building, your
understanding of the principles of good presenting, and your enjoyment with
being a PowerPoint user. And a chance to put faces to the names you have
come to know and love here at the newsgroup.
3. FULL HOUSE OF VENDORS FOR A FULL DAY: We will have close to two dozen
exhibitors on-hand for the PPTLive Expo, which will run the entire day of
Tuesday, Oct. 12.
4. TO-DIE-FOR LOCATION: Have you ever been to San Diego in the first part of
October? Just think of paradise and you'll be spot on. It will be 80 by day
and 70 by evening. Our hotel, the four-star DoubleTree Hotel in Mission
Valley, is 10 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes
from the beach, two minutes from the gigantic Fashion Valley Mall, and it
has its own trolley stop. You just can't find a better place to visit
anywhere in the continental U.S., and we encourage you to make arrangements
to stay on through the following weekend (I'm flying my family down as soon
as we award the final prize on Wednesday.).
5. INCREDIBLE AFTER-HOURS EVENTS: Ever taken a dinner cruise on the San
Diego Bay? How about a lavish barbecue at Mission Beach, as the sun sets
over the ocean and the lights of the roller coaster begin to twinkle? And
the people you will be with will feel like life-long friends, even the ones
you meet on the bus trip there...
We know that you will find the 2004 conference to be an amazingly enriching
event in so many dimensions, and we want you on-hand for it. Complete
information is available at the conference website. Hope to see you there...
