Calling all creative types...

In advance of the 2004 PowerPoint Live User Conference, October 10-13 in San
Diego, we invite all PowerPoint users to enter our Design-a-Presentation
contest.

The winner will receive a free passport to the conference.

We will accept entries until March 19, and the website has complete details
(click "Design a Presentation, Come for Free!"). We hope that many of you
will consider entering...

Hmmm, Birmingham in October..... San Diego in October.....

Jeff, we're still ramping up with this conference and there is every
possibility that we would head overseas in the future. The UK will still be
a few years off, though. It is extraordinarily expensive for an American to
host an event on the island, and my friends there tell me that I would want
to turn it into a traveling show, instead of one main event, as British
users are loathe to travel for this type of training. I'm just repeating
back what I've been told; the first part about the expense -- that I can
confirm!

Yes - I know which one wins - but it would be good for European/UK
'pointers' to have such an event - anyone else think so?

I'm sure that there would be good opportunities for sponsorship and
backup - I think there is a healthy community over here! ... but I
appreciate the amount of organisation/plannin gan event like this must
take.
