Processor: Power PC

Every time I go to insert music into my powerpoint presentation and choose a file from my itunes, I get this message.
Powerpoint coundn't insert s sound from the selected file.
I have selected m4a tracks and mp3 tracks. Neither will insert.
Can powerpoint play a track from your itunes over your presentation at all? or is there something wrong with my computer? Or do you need a specific kind of sound file to go into powerpoint? Thankyou.

Hi,

Blame [take your choice]
Bill Clinton for signing the DMCA act
RIAA for pushing DMCA
Big money entertainment interests (Apple, Microsoft, and many others)
Greed

iTunes enforces digital rights confiscation (aka DRM, Digital Rights
Management to those who are confiscating your rights). iTunes is worried
you might play a song you purchased on a computer that isn't authorized
to play it.

If you put a completely unrestricted song or video into iTunes you will
be able to use the insert method successfully. Otherwise, iTunes won't
let PowerPoint have the file.

Things to experiment with:
Export the music from iTunes, but export it as regular music (.wav)
format. Then import the .wav file.

Capture the music you already own with something like Ambrosia's Wire
Tap Pro.
