I have created a sizable PowerPoint presentation and am trying to add narration (about 30 min. long). I have two problems.
1) The voice/narration disappears when I am moving from one animation to another or transitioning between slides.
2) The length of narration I can put with one slide seems very short. Is there a limit of which I am unaware?
Would it be better to simply record separately via recorder and then use simultaneously?

Hi,

I find that it's easier to use a sound editing program whenever more
than a handful of slides is involved or when there is a lot of narrating
to do. I always make little noises, hesitations, and there's always
ambient noise that I want to remove.

There's a free program called Audacity that exports as wav files. I use
it to record and edit my sound files then use PowerPoint's Insert >
Movies and Sounds > Sound from file.

By using an external editor your audio tracks will sound professionally
produced, and Audacity is really really nice.
