Powerpoint Navigation (action) buttons not saving..

I am trying to use action buttons in Powerpoint to hyperlink from one slide to another, but they are not saving. I set them all to hyperlink and save the presentation, but if I close it and reopen it the hyperlinks are gone. The buttons are still there, but I am to reset them again. Any help?

Same problem. Anyone have any idea how to stop this? My client is getting VERY nervous about his presentation. What is the point of having a hyperlink option if it doesn't work?

I was trying to save my presentation as a 2004 compatible file, and I think this was why it wasn't working. When I saved it as a 2008 file, it worked fine. It's a pain that the hyperlink isn't a compatible feature!!
