PowerPoint on a Wide Screen Display

I am creating a slide show to display on a wide screen plasma television in
PowerPoint 2003... does anyone know how to set up the sildes so that they
don't distort the image when shown on a widescreen? Everything seems to
strech and I can't get around it. Thanks!

Yup, I had tried that one already with no luck... it just further distorted
the original image. Just heard from the TV manufacturer and it turns out the
laptop that is connected to the set does not have the graphic power to output
the required resolution for the set, 1920 x 1080. Time to try a new
laptop... Thanks for the input... at least I know I'm not crazy!

Most laptops seem to output 4:3 from the VGA whatever format you have made
your chart. If you have a DVI output (and a DVI input into the plasma) I
believe this will solve your problem. I only have photographic evidence that
this works (my AV hire company tried a number of variants for me) and sent
me pictures to prove it; and the only downside is the cost of cabling.
