I am trying to insert hyperlinks within a powerpoint presentation. The
intention is to insert a word document or an excel spreadsheet or indeed a
video presentation from outside the powerpoint current presentation, from the
C drive, but probably later from a DVD. I have followed the guidance for
inserting a hyperlink as displayed within Powerpoint. However, when I go to
presentation mode and click on my designated point on the 'slide' to activate
the hyperlink I get two messages one following the other; and of course I do
not want these messages in my presentation.
First message under Microsoft Powerpoint heading with big white ctoss on red
circular background saying "Opening (file address)" then "Hyperlinks can be
harmful to your computer and dats ..... do you want to continue" I click Yes
then the second message says under Microsoft office heading saying "Opening
C:\(file address)" "Some files contain viruses ..... Would you like to open
this file".
After clicking on 'yes' to this box also the information appears.
How can I not have these 'error/advice messages' appearing. In addition,
sometimes when I click on my designated point on the slide, the information
does not open at all. What am I doing wrong?
