How do I add a song to a presentation without using cd drive or linking to a
file because I want others to be able to hear the song per each slide on
their own computer. I sent the presentation to a friend but media was trying
to find the file, etc. I've gotten presentation by e-mail with the pretty
slides and soft music playing. Want to do the same thing....Help

Hi,

Sound files in wav format larger than 100 KB (i.e. anything but a
short sound effect) and other file formats are linked to PowerPoint
presentation, when you Email the PowerPoint presentation, the linked
music will not be shown.
The differences between embed and link, please view:

Solution 1 -- Package the presentation and music:
1. Put the sound files and the PowerPoint presentation in a same
folder.
2. Reinsert the sound file to the PowerPoint presentation.
3. Package the entire folder into one archive file and send it to
others. Do not create self-extracting (SFX) archive since most email
block EXE files by default. WinZip and WinRAR are both recommended to
archive your presentation files for emailing perfectly.

Solution 2 -- embed the music in PowerPoint.
To wav sound larger than 100KB:
PowerPoint-> Tools->Options-> Advanced -> link sounds with file size
greater than ...KB. Please input 50000.
To music in all formats$B!'(B
Convert your PowerPoint presentation to Flash use some third party
presentation tools, such as PPT2Flash (http://snipurl.com/ppt-swf),
for instance.Athe music files will be embedded in the presentation.
You can send the Flash-based presentation to your friends and
different computers.

BTW, there is an article about how to email PowerPoint with multimedia
files effectively. Hope it can help you.
