PowerPoint Presentation & Photos

I have a photo that I want to include in a PowerPoint presentation. I
inserted the phto but it look like I just pasted the photo on the slide. How
to I merge the photo with the slide so that it look more flush and not just
pasted on top?

I'm not entirely sure what the problem is. There are several things I
can think of:

(1) You could change the size of the picture to match the size of the
slide.

(2) You could insert the picture as a background image.

(3) You could darken or lighten the picture to make it contrast better
with the text on the slide.

(4) You could create some kind of fancy box/frame to put the photo in.

(5) You could put the photo behind all the other things on the slide.

If you can give us more details of what you mean and let us know what
version of PowerPoint you are using, we might be able to give you more
help.

Thanks for responding to my question. Maybe if I e-mail you the slide I am
talking about you would get a better understanding? What is your e-mail
address?

Basically, what I have is a photo (that I got off the internet) and paste it
on a slide. But it does not look professional; its outlined and looks like I
just pasted in on the slide. For example, if I get a photo from clip art it's
more flush with the slide, it not outlined, it look like it is part of the
slide.

The pictures you find on Internet are basically very low definiiton. That's
why it doesn't look professionnal. Are you working with PPT 2007? You can
then enhance the picture

You probably have a picture that is very low resolution so it is
unlikely to look very good when stretched to full screen. Clip-art
pictures are often designed to be able to stretch to fit the screen. You
might want to see if there is a higher resolution version of the picture
available. You also might want to use the cropping tool to remove any
borders that might be in the picture that you don't want. However, my
guess is that the picture you have isn't going to work very well when
stretched to fill the screen.
