Hi Kevin;
I don't mean to be picky , but if you are going to insert in-line responses
*please* avoid doing so at the same quote level as the content you're
responding to or starting your response on the same line. It's a real
nightmare trying to decipher who wrote what -- especially if the response is
interjected mid-sentence. Place the insertion point at the end of the
content then press the return key twice. Also, make sure there are no
greater-than symbols (>) in front of your response. Following your entry
press the return key again to leave a blank line.
Now... As to the problem you're having. It sounds like it isn't the
presentation that's "logging out", but that the program is crashing & you're
being left at the OS X Desktop. There is a big difference
The fact that you "...did an update..." doesn't give me the information I
need to know. As requested, please quote your exact update level of Office &
OS X [xx.xx.xx version numbers]. If you didn't repair disk permissions after
whatever updating you did that should be the first step. Run Disk Utility's
Repair Disk Permissions routine on your HD, shut down the Mac for a minute
or two, then start up & see if the problem continues. If PPT still crashes
include the exact wording of the error message in your reply as well as the
first 15 lines of the error report.
We'll take it from there
