Powerpoint Pressentation based on a CSV file with the data feed definition

Hi,
~
I need to do something which to me is (should be ;-)) very simple
~
I have a csv (Excel-compatible, simple comma separated value file)
with
~
1._ the path to a jpeg picture
~
2._ a with brief comment about the picture
~
3._ a value in seconds with the lengththe picture/comment should be
displayed
~
I would like to drive a power point presentation based on this file
as a slideshow
~
How can you do that?
~
Thanks

In my dream list, there would be an option to navigate to the first
or last pix of the whole presentation or go back and forth to the
start of another group (something not coded in the data feed yet) or a
certain picture itself

It'd be possible to do this with VBA, but I don't know of any general purpose
add-ins that do specifically what you're after.

Our PPTMerge add-in (http://www.pptools.com/merge/) can create a new
presentation from a "template" presentation, importing the jpgs and comment
text, but won't control the display time. It could add the display time as a
text box, which you could refer to when manually adding the slide transition
time though.

First/Last slide links could be part of the template itself. No need to add
those programmatically.

In other words, it wouldn't do the whole thing but it could get you better than
halfway there in a matter of seconds.

The free demo would let you test this thoroughly.

I'd abandon powerpoint, depending on what the details of your
circumstances are, and have simple one-page website with a slideshow
on it - there are gazzilions of them for free all over the web. If
it's important to slide straight to PPT from this, you could always
use the magic Alt-tab trick so fast your audience don't spot it! :)
