Powerpoint Printing Problems

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel

I seem to be having problems printing or saving to a PDF in Powerpoint. I get the spinning disk and then the error reporting box comes up - this is really causing me problems as I'm trying to print lecture slides - PLEASE help!!! Thanks
