I have a 4 year old Compaq with Office 97 that includes
Powerpoint. I just purchased an HP laptop for
presentations and installed Office 97 there as well. I
also installed Powerpoint viewer as a back up. I use the
presentations in my mortgage business and can't figure out
a problem. The desktop has a 17" screen and the laptop
has a 15" but the actual viewing size is about the same.
The presentation window on the laptop is about 1/2"
narrower than the desktop and for some reason the layout
of the Powerpoint presentation is narrower and the data is
overlapping. You can see paragraphs having the text on 4
lines on the laptop instead of 3 lines on the desktop as
well as overlapping data. It's like Powerpoint is trying
to condense the image on a slightly narrower screen. Any
ideas of what to do? Thanks in advance.
