Powerpoint Reader Help!

Karen Ashton

I have a Office 2000 Powerpoint file (saved for PC) that I'm trying to view
so that I can glean information for a project...I'm on OS9.2 and can find a
PPT 98 viewier but not a 2000...all the images in the file are just big red
X's (text and other stuff is there), any ideas?

Thank you!

PPT 97, 98, 2000 and anon all use the same format, so the 98 viewer should
work. What you're seeing isn't so much a viewer incompatibility as problems
with PowerPoint (in all versions from 97 on) that cause it to display red Xs
when it can't properly display a graphic.

Try allocating a lot more memory to the viewer. If that doesn't help, see the
following (which may explain why it's happening but won't do anything to fix
it; with just the viewer, there's not much you *can* do.)

Error: "Memory was too full to draw everything..." or Red X in PowerPoint
