Powerpoint Shutdown of program in MS Office

Whenever I click the X in the upper lefthand corner to close down powerPoint
I get an error that says Power Point has stopped working. Then an error
message that says "a problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I've run the Office dianostics and all is well and I have run the 'repair'
through the control panel.

can someone help me. I received an e-mai stating there was a response to
this question but I cannot find it???

Have you some Addins installed - for example PDF-Maker, Snagit or something
else? In that case try to start PPT in safe mode by holding CTRL while
starting the program. If the error disappears that one the addins is the
culprit. Than you have to search which one of them causes the problem by
deactivating them and activate one after another.
