Powerpoint slides do not retain type/font colors

Recently made the jump to 2008. When I copy slides from one file into another presentation the fonts change color.

Is there a fix or key command I need to use to avoid this problem?

Thanks!

If you are using the slide sorter pane or slide sorter
view to copy entire slides, you should see a clipboard
icon appear next to the slide when you paste it.
Click on that icon (it's called the Paste Options icon),
and you will be able to select "Keep source formatting"
or "Use destination formatting".

Hope this helps.

You might try Insert> Slides from> Other Presentation [be sure to check the
"Keep design of original slides" box.

Copy/Paste can always be less than optimal [any program, any platform]
because of the variables involved... Especially if the source is produced by
a different version than the target.
