powerpoint slides stretched when I print to onenote?

When I print to onenote from powerpoint, the pp slides come out stretched
vertically. I want to print to onenote and have the pp slides keep their
original shape. I am using Onenote 2003

There are two methods. The first is to use Insert--> Document as Picture.
The second (and much better in my opinion) is to use Jeff Borlik's PPT2One.
Information on it can be found in this entry from his blog:

you need to download microsoft education pack for tablet pc and then with the
powerpoint presentation open select file/print. Then in the printer
selection box a choice will appear that says send to onenote.
I am in graduate school and I use this feature to keep all of my class
lectures in onenote. It is kind of annoying though because when the pp
slides come through, they are stretched.

So, Kathy...
I've got a friend with a Tablet PC. He can simply "print to OneNote" and
select options like number of slides per page, and others.
If we have the same versions of Office and OneNote, why is this option not
available to me? Would I have to use Windows XP Tablet PC edition and
download the "Education Pack for Windows XP Tablet PC Edition"?
I don't see a point on adding such an important function like printing to
OneNote only to a specific version of XP OS.
By the way: Jeff Borlik's PPT2One is a nice try, but doesn't deliver as well
as the print to OneNote feature I mentioned.

Thanks for your help,

The only utility/add-in/power toy I know of that lets you do this without a
Tablet PC is Darron Devlin's OneNoteImageWriter. Since this piece of
software is not curently available on the web, I don't know of any way to do
what you want on a regular PC. (It is quite possible that your friend has
this add-in and might be able to share.)

You might want to consider changing over to the PowerPoint to OneNote
powertoy. It's a stand-alone program that imports a PowerPoint file and
puts it into a page within whatever .ONE file you specify. I've used it
to import slide shows from Microsoft's various presentations that they
do in the field (Momentum, TechNet, TS2, etc.) and it works pretty
slick.

thanks Steve.
another solution I have found is to open the print window then select
"handouts" in the print what box. Then I select 1-2 slides per page. The
slides come through with their original shape.
