PowerPoint slideshow stops suddenly

When I am running a slideshow (in PowerPoint 2007) every 10 minutes or so the
slideshow will stop. It is as if I was hitting <escape>. It happens on a
regular interval and is quite annoying. I am assuming this is probably some
conflict with something else on my computer that is interupting the show. Any
ideas on how to troubleshoot this and find the problem? Or is there some
technique I could use that forces the slide show to run to completion?

Is the screen saver for your computer kicking in? Or maybe a virus scan or
something?

Does it always happen on the same slide, or is it specifically a time
interval?

It isn't a screensaver. It could be the virus scan, although this started
happening long after I installed the virus scan program. It is not always the
same slide - it is about the same interval of time though, so I am thinking
it is some program that kicks in every 10 minutes to check the computer.

Here are some things I have installed that I think operate on some sort of
schedule.
Mozy (automated backup)
Google desktop
MS indexed desktop
Sealed Media (no idea why, but this is in the toolbar and is always spinning)
MS Active Synch (for a MS Mobile device)
CA Antivirus

The ones most recently installed were the sealed media and the active synch.

Wow, I don't know; nothing jumps out at me. I'd probably start by going to
Start | Run and typing msconfig -- then I'd turn off all those programs on
startup and reboot.

If PPT behaves properly then, I'd turn each one back on in the msconfig
window until I found the culprit.
