1.I would like to record a PowerPoint slideshow onto my
digital camcorder. Please tell me how this is
accomplished.

2. I also tried showing it on TV from my laptop via the s-
video connection. The image was much too large on the
screen. How can I reduce the image size?

Thank you very much.

Harold,

This site will be of unimaginable value to you:
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/
It has answers to questions you didn't think to ask... yet.

Have you researched your computer/video card's website and manual for tips
regarding your S-video out connection? These references would be my
recommended first step. It sounds as though is may only support a preset
screen resolution. The web-site/manual should tell you the settings for
best output.

There is also a very useful page on the problems faced in recording to
VHS/DVD/VCD:

Harold,

1) Digital Camcorder....Hmmm...what connections does you cam have accept
video (firewire, usb, other) ?
What filetypes can the camcorder accept (avi, mpeg, mjpeg..other) ?

2) Most s-Video connections just "send the image down a cable"...you have
very little control on the size of the image. And most TVs do not have the
necessary controls to size the display.

A magic box between computer and the TV can help in these cases. This
particular one allows you to size and move the image (zoom and pan) before
it reaches the tv
