Powerpoint text/link strikethrough or black out

Hey,

I am working on a jeopardy game for a work retreat, and need to figure out
how to have power point either cross off, or black out questions that have
already been viewed so the presenter doesn't have to keep track of the
questions that have been chosen already. Does anyone know how to do this?
It's the last thing I need to do, and I cannot figure it out.

Thanks so much,

Holiday

This depends on what your links look like and what version of PowerPoint you
are using. If your links to the questions are all hypertext links, then they
should automatically change to the "Followed hyperlink" color in your color
scheme, which should be all that you need. If they are buttons, then you can
use trigger animations to do what you want. You will set an animation effect
(possible an Exit animation to make the button go away entirely and possibly
and emphasis animation to make the button change in some way) to be
triggered by a click on the button itself. If you are using a version of
PowerPoint that is older than 2002, you might have to do something
different.

I recently created a Jeopardy template which will do exactly what
you're asking (using buttons, not text). I used VBA Macros to make the
button disappear when you click on correct or incorrect on the
question slide (it automatically keeps track of scores). You're
welcome to use my template, and I've kept the code open so anyone may
use it and hopefully learn from it. See screenshots and download the
template from:

I'm not sure how much of your PowerPoint backbone you've already done,
but if you'd like, you can also use my Excel template and then use my
"Import from Excel" button to import all your questions, answers, and
explanations. I hope you find this useful! Let me know if I can be of
further help.
