PowerPoint to video

Mike

I am trying to add 3 songs into a PowerPoint slideshow, then convert to
a DVD. I guess I can add the audio soundtracks in the PowerPoint program,
or convert to avi, and then just do it all in adobe premiere, or some other
program.

Does anyone have any advice on how to convert a PowerPoint slideshow into
a digital video format ? or at what point to add the soundtracks ? I don't
want to
use one of those screen capture programs, I need this to need a high quality
video.

Thanks for any advice you could offer.

Mike,

There is no native function to PPT to do this, so you have a few options:
1. Using a screen capture application (v5 of Camtasia captures at 30fps and
looks good - www.techsmith.com)
2. Export all slides as images (I use a 3rd party add-in to get highest
quality), add these to a video editing application, recreate animations with
transitions or after-effects elements, add and sync audio, render to mpg2
for use on DVD.
3. Use the video function of OfficeFX (www.instanteffects.com) to create
very high-quality, frame accurate video of the presentation. Note 1: only
the pro version of the application has this feature. Note 2: There are some
animation combinations that OFX still cannot recreate (although I have heard
hopeful things for the next version)

Hi, Mike
You can add the songs into powerpoint just by " insert- sound and
movie"
You can burn a DVD with a tool called Wondershare PPT2DVD from
http://www.ppt-to-dvd.com
hope this helps

In my opinion, you have to choices:
One is convert PowerPoint to Video, then burn to DVD with some other
software:
First, you must put the song and PowerPoint in the same folder to
insure the next step: Convert PowerPoint to Video with your song
retained
Second, make your PowerPoint, just insert your song into the
PowerPoint and view your PowerPoint to make every thing is all right
Third, convert PowerPoint to video with professional third party
software like Acoolsoft PPT2Video Converter
http://www.ppt-to-video.com/powerpoint-to-video-overview.html
Acoolsoft PPT2Video Converter is an innovative tool designed to help
you easily and efficiently convert PowerPoint presentations to almost
all popular video formats such as MPEG, AVI, MP4, WMV, FLV, MOV, ASF,
3GP, 3GP2 with excellent quality. Ideal for trade show, digital
signature, in-store displays and video podcast(upload to YouTube).
With PPT2Video Converter you can distribute PowerPoint presentations
anytime anywhere.

The other is burn PowerPoint to DVD directly:
If you search through Google, you may find so many software
suggestions about PowerPoint to DVD and PPT to DVD, I don't know which
one is the best solution, but I know basic features of the software
should have
1. Fast to load
The program should load as quickly as possible so that the user
receives a quick response after inserting the DVD into the drive or
DVD player.
2. Full inform
The user should be provided with information about who created the DVD
and what it contains.
3. Easy navigation
Leave it up to DVD viewers to decide which presentation they want to
watch and in what order. You can also give your users the option to
watch a presentation again or to skip it.
4. Conversion Speed
I know it's a long time when you are converting a large size
PowerPoint. We do hope the software do things quickly and we can even
minimize program to do other tasks during the process.
5. Video Quality
The Video quality I mentioned here refers to three things: Definition,
Size, and Compatibility.
Definition and Size means that when you are watching your PowerPoint
on TV, it should be clear enough and the video size should fit to the
screen. Compatibility enables you to play the DVD on different DVD
player. It is better for you to play your DVD presentation on most
popular DVD Players.
Acoolsoft PPT2DVD is one of the product may help you
