Powerpoint uses too much cpu

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

The powerpoint uses too high cpu when I'm doing my work, I'm not sure what triggers. I'm not doing anything related to videos, it's only regular using basic things like wordarts. It has the latest updates (12.1.4). What could be the problems?
