PowerPoint v.X fails in graphics animation

Whenever I try to use Custom Animation with a graphic PowerPoint shuts
down with a message that Powerpoint quit unexpectedly. Custom
Animation works fine with text objects but not with graphic objects,
even with simple clip art objects.

I am using OS X 10.2.8, with a 1GHz G4 Powerbook with 1GB of memory.

Did you try using Disk Utility to repair permissions?
