PowerPoint VBA Events

In PowerPoint is it possible to get key presses and mouse clicks made in the
slide show?
I'm currently writing a VB.NET program that produces presentations with song
lyrics, and I would like to set up hotkeys to move quickly between songs and
verses.

I know that and I've tried that, but none of the events fire if say I was to
press the 'T' key during a presentation. Is there any other way to get any
more events from PowerPoint?
