PowerPoint Viewer 2007 and HTML link

I am using a Visio drawing publshed as a HTML page that has a link to a
PowerPoint 2003 chart. The name of the file for example is file.ppt. If I
UNC to the file, it opens fine. If I try to open the file via the web page,
I get the following error:
PowerPoint Viewer cannot find the file "file[1].ppt".

Does anyone know why the [1] is being added to the file name? Browser is IE7.
Thanks.

Thanks for the response. The issue also occurs with a basic link to a
PowerPoint file, not only with the Visio diagram. I found the answer buried
in the PVREADME.HTM file under the install. Seems that the viewer does not
support running macros, programs, or opening linked or embedded objects.

Would it be fair to restate that as "I have an HTML page that has a link to a
PPT file."?

Can you post the url of the HTML file here?

And have you posted this in the Visio support area as well? If the link in the
HTML actually points to the wrong filename, it'd be a Visio/HTML issue rather
than a PowerPoint one.
