powerpoint will not open in email..

It says to create an association in the set association control panel..how do

You are in the wrong newsgroup.

If you still have problem, then please answer the following :
Do you have Internet Explorer 8 ( IE8 ) installed ?
If yes, do you have the following update installed via Windows Update center
or Microsoft Update ?
Cumulative Security Update for IE8 ( KB972260) .......... you NEED it.

I'm not sure just creating file associations will help you.

If PPT doesn't open from your email program, then check this:

Your most straightforward workaround may be to save the file to your
harddrive and then double-click to open it.
