PowerPoint X crashing when trying to copy content in file createdin PowerPoint 98

Hello,
We are trying to copy and paste content from a PowerPoint 98 file to a
PowerPoint X file. We open the file created in PP 98 (with Pp X), copy the
graphic, and get a spinning watch, then a crash.

Some info - there are 125 slides in the file.
