PowerPoint XP Animation Quirk

I have a slide with objects set to start animating one
right after another and it works great; however, I don't
want them to appear until it's their turn to animate.
Why do they just sit there - same idea worked great in
2000. Any help out there?

I set motion paths...maybe that's the problem? They
absolutely refuse to be invisible until called for...even
though they're set for 'Entrance'...perhaps I should put
another type of Entrance first - like 'Appear' and then
set it to motion?

Well, what entrance effect do you currently have programmed? I think your
problem lies elsewhere.

Motion paths will play one after the other if set to start "After Previous".
No problem.

If those objects also have entrance effects AND they too are programmed to
start "After Previous", the objects will enter and follow the set motion
path. No problem.

So, the devil is probably in the details. Look at your sequence and be sure
it is correct. Look at every Start setting to be sure none (except maybe the
first) are set to "On Click".
