One option is to use PPt's File> Send To> MS Word feature, but don't expect
too much from it - it's really rather crude. The only content transferred
will be that from Title, SubTitle & Bulleted List placeholders. It won't
include any graphics or content from text boxes & tables. You'll also have a
pretty hefty amount of reformatting to do.

You can also use File> Save As - RTF which I've found to yield more usable
results. The same limitations as above, but easier to reformat.

thanks a million this helped but only to lead to my new problem as I saved all 13 presentations individually and thereafter created a new combined doc for a report on a workshop and now I cannot read this docx on a Windows operating system! hence my next question and serious need for assistance! Even a new doc that I saved from an email report is read as not compatible! what now?

Hi Salome -

It's hard to tell from your description - not enough specific detail - so
see the inserts below:

Using which of the two methods: Send To or Save As RTF?
and thereafter created a new combined doc for a
report on a workshop

Exactly how did you "combine" the documents - there is no *combine* command?
and now I cannot read this docx on a Windows operating
system!

Windows OS isn't the issue - which version of Word is running on that
system? If it's anything earlier than 2007 it needs the updates & converters
which enable the use of OXML files. If it's earlier than Word 2000 even the
converters won't be of any use.
hence my next question and serious need for assistance! Even a new doc
that I saved from an email report is read as not compatible! what now?

Same point as above, but if email is involved there are even more
considerations. They aren't Word issues, though. Make sure the filename has
the appropriate extension when you save it, zip the file before attaching &
on the Windows side don't attempt to open the attachment by dbl-clicking it
in the email message - save it to the local HD first.
