How do I animate so that lines can come onto the slide two at a time instead of one at a time? ie if I have 6 lines I want them into come as: 1&2, 3&4, 5&6. Thanks.

See PPt Help on the subject: Animate text and objects

If you have any specific questions post them here, but be sure to mention
the exact update level of which version of PPt you're using.

I have Microsoft PowerPoint 2008 for Mac Version 12.1.7 and when I try HELP and write in as you said: 'Animate text and objects' the response is 'No files found' -- so what do I do next? GG

Your being sucked in by Apple's Me First mentality :)

When you first open the Help Menu the active Search field is a Spotlight
search box that connects to Mac Help which *doesn't* provide help specific
to the program you're using at the time. Select PowerPoint Help in the Menu
first, then type in the topic.
