Powerpoint'sentences' method: sentence delimiters?

bourgui

Hi all,

I just came across the 'Sentences' method in Powerpoint, which returns
the selected sentences from a TextRange.
My question is, what criteria are used for determining what
constitutes a sentence, and can those be modified in vba?

I couldn't seem to find an answer in the msdn specifications or help
files...

Thank you!

A sentence seems to be a punctuation character like period, exclamation point
or question mark followed by one or more sentences. At least in the US English
version of PPT 2007 I just checked in. I'd expect that the conditions would
vary by language.

I don't believe the conditions can be modified.

Hmmm, thanks Steve.

That's what I seem to have found as well.
I've written my own macros that will cut the sentences following the
punctuation rules I submit myself, but I was just hoping that there
would be a built-in, probably more efficient way of doing it.

Ah well...)
