PP 2003 Installation

I had to repair WinXP Pro, which made me repair some programs, including MS Office 20003. All other programs got repaired/reinstalled, but Project. At the beginning of the installation I get this message:
"...cannot be installed when another instance of .... is already present. ..... remove the previous instance using Add/Remove ... from the Control Panel."
The trouble is that Project is not listed in the Control Panel.
Used RegClean, Norton WinDoctor, but without success.
How do I force the install of PP 2003?

This is my second post in as many days, for I did not find it in the pane of Headers, nor by Global Search. Strangely enough I found it by Google. Mind you I am very new in Forte so I might have done something wrong.

I have the same problem. The program will not install and it is not on my
computer - even though this message says it is already installed! Is there
anyone that can direct us to the correct procedure to force Project to
install?
I've even gone to the Registry and deleted ALL references to Project. It
still will not install. I can find no Project file under C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office11 or anywhere else.

Probably worth contacting Microsoft on this ... see how at
