PP 2003 sp3 printing .png images

or not.

I'm trying to add a .png image to a Powerpoint presentation and my
Sharp 3501-N color printer. It prints everything in the presentation
(including other images) *except* the .png image. No error message,
just no image on the page.

Now, I can print this to an HP 4700 and 4050 with no problem. I can
print it to the Sharp if I pdf the document first or if I print the
document on a machine that's using Office 2007.

But Office 2003 - sp2 or 3 - on different machines - nothing.

Because it will print to the Sharp in other formats Sharps says it
ain't their problem but Microsoft's.

I can get it to print OK in Word too.

Any thoughts?

Try opening the PNG in a paint program (other than the one that originally
created it) and resaving.

If you don't have one handy, IrfanView ( http://www.irfanview.com ) is a good
choice and free.

Try adding the saved file to the PPT presentation and see if it works better.
