Hi
I changed to 2004 recently. PP is almost unusable on my TiBook 500Mhz,
with OS X (latest) 512MB RAM. If I start work with 1.5GB of hard disc
space available, after an hour or so of work, PP quits, saying there is
not enough hard disk space available to keep going, and Finder shows
only 3-400MB of space left on the disc. I have to restart to regain the
disc space lost (presumably) to the autosave files.
Plus it crashes all the time anyway
Plus it recently nearly killed me last week. I was working on a
presentation for a National conference, saving after every new slide.
Lots of movies and complex images. After 4 hours work (this time on my 2
x 1GHz G4, 512 MB RAM), PP crashed and when it restarted the file was
corrupted and unusable by PP or Keynote. I had to start from the
beginning again. Bummer!
So in all, I am going back to Keynote. I cant risk this sort of
behaviour again.
Can I use PP version X with the other apps from 2004?
Can I stop the autorecover feature using up all my HD?
