PP 2004 nice features but very beta?

PP 2004 has nice features but also lots of problems (both Mac OS 10.3.4/5).
Here some of them, which are sometimes annoying:

- Text objects:

Fragments of the border of selected text objects are still visible after
deselecting. On slides with several text objects those fragments hide the
real objects. Moving to the next slide and back again clears those fragments

- Moving objects with the mouse:

The position of the transparent preview of objects moving with the mouse
is wong. Positioning of objects is only possible with cursor keys

- Window size and position:

Window size and position is not maintained after reloading a presentation

- Missing fonts:

Missing or deactivated fonts ( probably only true for chinese, japanese and
such type of fonts) causes Powerpoint to crash

- Metafile converter very slow:

A 1Meg icon library template created by PP under Windows is converted with
Mac PP 98 in 2 minutes. PP 2004 takes 10min for the same file

- Text format problems:

After working for a while on a presentation, inserting new text causes the
second wrapped text line to be not aligned to the left side. No ident or tap
stop is set. Effect is not seen on a new presentation

Ssuggestions or workarounds are very welcome

The problem with the transparent preview of objects while being moved not
being correct occurs only when the Ruler is showing. The work-around until
MS fixes this is to turn off the ruler. Then the transparent object is in
the correct position when you drag-and-drop.

I add broken Copy/Paste between Excel and PP.

Suggestion: Rever to Office v. X.

Hi Germ,

I haven't noted any specific complaints about copy/paste except for
those relating to linked objects, and that hasn't changed since v.X.

What copy/paste issues are you referring to?
