PP 2008 - can't get font color to change after hyperlinks are used

I'm a teacher and I play a Jeopardy game with my students. Since upgrading from Office 2004 to Office 2008, I've had a problem with my home screen on the game. Previously, after clicking a box, when coming back to that home screen, the numbers in that box would change from yellow font to black font, letting us know that number had been picked already. It doesn't do that anymore. I have played around with it and searched help and can't figure it out.

Can anyone please give me detailed instructions on how to fix this or do something similar? thank you for your time.

Hi Robin -

I can't be sure because what little you describe doesn't refer to any
specific features of the PowerPoint program, itself. It must be a
presentation file you're using, but in order to do what you suggest there
would have to be some type of VBA programming [macros] involved. My guess is
that the "game" doesn't work in 2008 because that version doesn't support VBA.

That's the only thing I can suggest without details about how the game came
to be - that isn't a "typical" use of PowerPoint.
