PP Hyperlinks lost upon saving file--SOLUTION FOUND

I had a problem for a long time with VBA created
hyperlinks in pp that were created as absolute links but
wouldn't stay absolute.

Apparently problem exists with relative hyperlinks and
with hyperlinks in web pages.

Finally found solution via knowledge base article 813914

Method 2: Disable "Update Links on Save"
This method prevents PowerPoint or Excel from modifying
the hyperlink you created and preventing possible damage
to the link format.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the General tab.
Click Web Options.
Click the Files tab.
Click to clear the Update Links on Save check box and the
Organize Supporting Files in a folder check box.
Click OK.
