Dear All
The clever people at work just bought a new laptop to go with the digital
projector: its main (only, actually) job is to project powerpoint
presentations.
(1) Unfortunately(*) it's a HP nx9105 with a non-standard 1280x600
display, so the multiple monitors facility will not allow a "clone" mode
with the projector, which is 800x600. Side-by-side desktops 1 and 2 work
fine, though.
(2) Unfortunately nobody thought to budget for software, so I have tried
to set it up with powerpoint viewer. Now I cannot get the presentation to
appear on desktop 2 (i.e. the projector).
Is there anyway of persuading PPV to put the slides on the alternate
desktop? Or will have to tell the powers-that-be that they'll just have
to fork out for a PP or office license?
Thanks in advance

(*) actually it's quite a nice PC, but it's just not the right one for
the purpose...
