This is driving me crazy! I googled and also searched this newsgroup, but no
joy.
When I add an autoshape, I get a 'shadow'. If I set the interior and line
colors both to white (or border to nothing) I still have a gray shadow on the
right and bottom of the autoshape. It's almost like there are two shadows-
when I add a circle autoshape, I actually see three lines (overlapping
circles; the center has no fill). If I change fill color to white, I'm down
to two lines. If I change border line to white instead (from the original
three lines) the two black circle lines go away, and I'm left with a gray
circle. If I then change interior color to white as well (interior=white,
border=white), I see a cresent moon in light gray, covering the right and
bottom area of the circle.
Original border line is single, and I tried various widths, but that doesn't
get rid of the extra (third) circle. Setting border to 'none' also doesn't
help. It is as if Powerpoint thinks it should always add a shadow. Even when
I add an autoshape line, I have my line plus to two extra lines!
The closest solution I found was a 2004(?) post indicating that the user
should set everything to black and white, then set the autoshape to white
only... which doesn't work for me because I have to have the rest of the
slide in color, so after changing the autoshape B/W setting then switch back
to color, the outlines come back.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Keith
