PPA (powerpoint add in) files from Windows world do not load into PP Mac 2003

I have a PPA file built by my employer that provides many useful
formatting features. It works on PP for Windows, but I have been
unable to get it to work in PP for Mac. It seems to load properly.
It shows as registered in the add-in screen. It does not create the
additional menu or any of the capabilities intended.

I have been told, "It should work." But it dies not. Any ideas?

Hi

I bet the add-in's creator used Active-X (open source software) in the
add-in. That won't work. No one has yet ported Active-X to MacOS. There
are a few Visual Basic 6 commands that are not support on Mac. Perhpas
they used one of those.

If the add-in uses standard controls and no hard-coded windows file
paths it should work fine.
