Hi,
My users run PowerPoint 10.1 on Panther 4 client on a mix of iMacs, eMacs
and Powerbooks.
The problem i have is that a number of different users have inconsistent
problems when emailing powerpoint documents with Mail.
sometimes (i hate that word) the document becomes corrupt and the
following messages is displayed when the recipient tries to open the
document:
"Powerpoint cannot open the file [file path]. The file may be corrupt, in use
or of a type not recognised by powerpoint."
This problem is very inconsistent but happens enough to be a real issue for
my users when emailing clients... and so I get a lot of grief about it.
Unfortunately we do a lot of PowerPoint work for clients.
It is only ppoint files which are corrupting. The files are not open when they
are attached to the mail. The file naming is correct and this problem
happens with both long and short file names.
Does anyone have any info which may help?
Thanks,
