.pps attachment

I am running Outlook express 6 and can not open attachments that end in .pps
When I try to open them Acrobat Reader 2 comes up then an error message
comes up. I am not very advanced in my computer skills so I asked around and
was told that .pps stands for Power Point Slideshow - is this correct and
if so I do not have that program. Can I still open the .pps attachments in
another program or is there a free version I can get so I can just open these
attachments??

viewer, you can view the presentation.
