iTunes music has DRM (Digital Rights Management) applied; Apple and the suppliers of the
tunes don't permit you to do anything you like (ie, copy the tunes, distribute them to
others) and PPT respects these restrictions.

Have you gone into iTunes and found the actual file location, and linked to it from the actual location where the tune is stored?

You can't just try to insert the tune directly from the iTunes lists of songs.

Go to iTunes, find the tune you want to insert, click on it to "get info". (right click if you have it)

At the bottom of the box is the location of the file. Remember it.

Go back to your ppt and insert again, this time navigating to the exact location that was written in the info box and select it when you get there.

That should do it.

Thanks for jumping in with that. A lot simpler than what I'd have come up with <g>

I have a similar question. I am trying to add music from a CD (store bought) and I can't figure out how! I go to 'Insert sound and music' then 'Play CD audio track' and up pops a 'Play options' box asking me which track and when to start/stop, but nothing in that box works. I enter a number and it shows a 0. Ahhh! I don't know what I'm doing wrong!

Hi,

You enter the starting track number and ending track number. If you want
just track 2 to play use 2 as the starting number and as the ending number.

The CD has to be in the drive when you run the presentation.
