.pps Start up

Hi,
FYI I am using Windows XP with Office 2003 Professional and seem to have
lost the ability to automatically open .pps files. When I select a file the
drop down menu no longer gives “Show†as an option only “Saveâ€. When I select
“Save†Microsoft Office Picture Manager opens with a picture of the .pps
icon. I can, however, use the free Power Point Viewer, navigate to the file
and it will open properly. I have done every thing/looked everywhere I could
think of including an Office uninstall/reinstall with no success. I’m
beginning to think I am again a novice. Did I overlook or do something goofy?
Thanks,
Tod

Using Widows Explorer, find one of your .pps files, right click on the file
name and select properties, Where it says Open With, click on change and
scroll until you find Microsoft Office PowerPoint, select it, then OK your
way out and see if that does not fix your problem.
