PPT 2002 - invalid procedure call or argument

Lori

I've done a few Office XP Pro installs, and two of the
workstations display this error when Powerpoint starts:
CLSCentralAddInn (yes, two N's)
run-time error '5':
Invalid procedure call or argument

When I click OK on that error box, ppt starts and seems to
run okay. Any suggestions for getting rid of this error?

thanks!

No room at the addinn, huh?

Sounds like it's trying to do something that's making PPT happy.

Are you installing XP as an upgrade to an earlier version of Office? If so,
the installer may be migrating an add-in that you had installed earlier;
one that apparently doesn't care to play with XP.

Does this ring any bells?

Found the problem, Steve -

Both computers had an online testing application called
SAM 2000 installed. Removed it and the problem went away!

Thanks for your suggestion - it made me look a little
deeper in the registry to find the answer.
