PPT 2003 Files Sizes

L

LiCal

I imported a Word Outline file (54kb; Heading 1 for Title; Heading 2
for Content) of Chinese text into PPT 2003 to make a new PPT file of
white background.

Soon I found out the file is so large that Yahoo Mail would not
attach,
I then tried saving different versions by deleting few/some slides off
but to no avail, as Yahoo Mail would deem those files at the same size
25MB, even one has been reduced to one slide.

Also curious to know while Yahoo Mail counted those files on 25MB, XP
explorer show they are only 12~28kb.

What's going on here making the PPT files so large, comparing to Word
file size. What can I do here in this regard?

Just a thought, In addition to what Echo has suggested. If your saving your
PPT file as backward compatible with PowerPoint 95, that will also give you
a very large file.

Wow, that's excessively large.

I'd look at Fast Saves and check for embedded fonts. Seehttp://www.pptfaq..com/FAQ00062.htmfor information on those and other
possible causes.

I agree, I've found embedded fonts to be the cause of large file sizes
most often.
