PPT 2003 Viewer on autorun CD - window vs. full screen?

When distributing PowerPoint (either .ppt or .pps) presentations on an
autorun CD, is there any way to have the presentation start within a
window frame instead of the full screen mode?

I saved the .pps file with 'Set Up Show' set to 'Browsed by individual
(window)', and it works fine if I go to the file on the CD and click
it. But autorun always forces it to full screen mode.

That's because it is running in the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer, which only runs in
full screen mode.

Hi Sonia,
When I checked the newsgroup on Friday I saw a reply from you
regarding my question. But when I clicked on the header it disappeared
before I could read it.
Would you be so kind as to repost?
Thanks.

As requested, I'm repeating what I posted on Friday:

I was afraid of that, but thanks for reposting the answer.

Are there suggested workarounds for this scenario? For instance, if I
convert the presentations to PDF or Flash or something along those
lines?

We need the recipients to be able to follow along with the
presentation but occasionally have them open a browser, or a Word doc,
etc. and then return to the slideshow where we left off.

They may or may not have PowerPoint installed.

TIA, Nikko

If you know in advance that the browser or Word will be required, they can open
those apps. in advance and then use Alt + Tab to switch to them from the
presentation. Or, you can provide links to the web page or Word document that
they need to view, which would be my preference.

I'll test both methods. Thanks for the help!
